LONG WEEKEND GETAWAY

LONG WEEKEND GETAWAY

Many people in the U.S waits for the long weekend to travel to a different city. Even if it’s only one extra holiday, most of us enjoy the time by going to other state or just the city. Me and my husband were waiting for the long weekend to go somewhere out of Charlotte, North Carolina as we both love to travel. This time we decided to go to Rome and Atlanta (oh! it’s Rome,Georgia not Italy). I believe it’s about the company with whom we travel not the location. If you don’t enjoy the company, no matter where you go, you won’t be able to enjoy as much as you should. Saurav (my husband) and I can go anywhere in the world and have the best time. Traveling is so therapeutic. You get to explore and learn so much about that place. And traveling leads to many pictures!

In Rome, we went to the downtown and also walked along the streets. The downtown surprisingly was good, it had the real Rome vibe!

We also went to Berry College, yes you heard it right, a college which is a private, four-year liberal arts college located in Mount Berry, Floyd County, Georgia, United States, and it’s beautiful. When in Rome, most of the people visit this college as its one of the best sightseeing in Rome.

Next Day we went to Atlanta which I wanted to go for so long. We took a city pass so that we could visit different sites without any hassle. I highly suggest taking a city pass if you want to explore the city. It’s more cheaper than purchasing tickets individually. We went to Georgia Aquarium which is one of the largest Aquarium in the world, World of Coca Cola and CNN studio tour. We had two more places to go as offered by the city pass but we couldn’t make it as we had to return back to home. The Georgia Aquarium was breathtaking, especially the Dolphin show! The Coca Cola Museum was also worth visiting. We could see the actual process of making it and also learn about its history. Also, they offer free tasting of over 100 varieties of Coca Cola from all over the world. How cool! My stomach was full just by drinking. And the CNN studio tour was also fun as we got a more in-depth look at how the world’s largest news organization operates.
