There are times when I have a pretty good skin day and there are times when my skin is clustered with bumps and acne. Top 2 top reasons; 1. Not cleansing face properly, the next day I wake up with tiny bumps. 2. Trying new products, leads to having a reaction. Therefore, I always have to be careful in my skincare regimen.

I love having a full skincare routine, but I like to keep it very minimal, clean and effective routine during these period. These are 2 products I swear by which helps reduce my acne.

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Daily Peel

I swear by this peel pads. It is one of the best skincare item, a two-step anti-aging AHA/BHA peel pad pre-dosed with acids. Step 1 is packed with rejuvenating powerful yet gentle exfoliating acids to gently exfoliate skin, refine pores, and support natural cell renewal. Step 2 is fueled with retinol for maximized anti-aging benefits and controls the alpha hydroxy acid activity. With consistent use, it helps to reduce unevenness in texture and tone, clear up and prevent acne and minimize pores. I’ve noticed a significant reduction in the frequency and intensity of my breakouts, unevenness, and texture while also keeping my skin balanced and smooth.

It comes in three different strength – Universal (the one I use), Sensitive and Extra Strength. It’s expensive, but if you’re going to spend good money on skin care, it might be on something that actually works. I use it everyday when I have problematic skin. Otherwise, I use it 2 times a week.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask

This uber-dewy, hydrating mask soothes thirsty, stressed-out skin. Another product I swear by to calm my skin. There is a reason why everyone raves about this product. It actually is a mask and can also be used as a moisturizer or an eye cream.  There is something about this mask that no other mask does. My skin is less irritated, calm and hydrated! Normally, I would apply it as a thick mask (at night) to really provide my skin a boost of hydration (2-3 days a week). During breakouts, I use it daily as a moisturizer!

These two products combined works amazing for my skin. Therefore, I never get stressed out when my skin is not at its best. Use your favorite cleanser, follow up with Peel Pads and then Jet Lag Maskyour skin will thank you. You can also finish off with a hydrating and calming spray to further nurture your skin. My favorite is Caudalie Grape Water.

Note: It might take few days for your skin to calm down. For me, sometimes, it takes around 4-5 days to see the results or less than 2-3 days! It really depends on the intensity of the breakouts/texture on your skin.

  1. First off I want to say great blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask
if you don’t mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your mind
prior to writing. I’ve had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there.
I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10
to 15 minutes tend to be wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?

    Many thanks!
