THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO LAST YOUR MAKEUP

THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO LAST YOUR MAKEUP

Do you guys have a makeup meltdown? Does your makeup looks dry and flaky? If yes, then its because you aren’t using the right primer and setting spray or maybe you aren’t even using it. These are the main part of your makeup routine. I know how frustrating it would be to see the makeup meltdown off your face all the time. So to ensure there are no makeup meltdowns, it’s time to add a primer and a setting spray to your makeup routine. Here’s the ultimate guide to last your makeup:

PRIMER

If you tend to skip primer then think twice because you shouldn’t. Many people think primers are just an extra step in a makeup routine, but they’re actually a must. A primer is used as a base for makeup, giving your foundation something to grip on to so it lasts all day. Infact it cancels out the issue you are having with the makeup. Whether you’re trying to even out skin tone, camouflage pores or fine lines and wrinkles, a good primer can solves the issue before laying the foundation. There are tons of primers out there that cater to every skin type or makeup concern. See keep reading below!

HOW TO PICK A PRIMER

Oily Skin: Try a mattifying or pore-minimizing primer.

Dry Skin: Try a moisture-rich or hydrating primer.

Acne-Prone Skin: Try a color correcting or blemish rescue and acne-fighting primer.

Combination/Normal Skin: Try a hydrating primer in dry areas and mattifying primer in oily areas.

Sensitive Skin: Try a natural skin soothing primer.

After your skincare routine (never skip your skincare) apply primer based on your skin needs and let it sit for a few minutes before your makeup application.

SETTING SPRAY

If a primer provides a grip to your makeup, setting spray seals it providing a long lasting hold to your makeup. It can change the appearance of your makeup. For an instance, if you are wearing a matte foundation but want to look dewy,  a hydrating setting spray can fix it and if you are wearing a dewy foundation but want to look matte, a mattifying spray does the job. Its all about your preferences!

BONUS: A setting spray can also be used before makeup to give a boost of hydration and it can also be applied between your liquid and powder application. A great option is Caudalie Beauty Elixir and Mac Prep + Prime Fix or any hydrating sprays you prefer. It can also be used as a quick pick me up to refresh your makeup throughout the day.

HOW TO PICK A SETTING SPRAY

Oily Skin: Try a mattifying setting spray

Dry Skin: Try a hydrating setting spray.

Combination Skin/Normal Skin: Try a setting spray that balances both the dry and oily areas.
